These handy, user friendly scissor lifts are suitable for jobs of smaller heights and are available as either push arounds, like S3006P or self-propelled ones, like S3010E mini scissor lifts. They fit through standard doorways and are extremely lightweight.

Snorkel’s TM- and UL-mast lifts are also suitable for a wide variety of needs and working conditions. The lifts in the TM-series are self-propelled, easy and most of all, safe machines to use. Push around mast lifts, such as the UL25, UL32 and UL40 are a cost efficient, compact and quick solution for indoor work, especially sensitive flooring such as that of a gymnasium.

For Rough Terrain

If you are in need of some momentum for rough terrain, the RT-series offers excellent performance due to its diesel engine. Snorkel’s diesel fueled scissor lifts are equipped with a 4-wheel drive and adapt to the roughest of working conditions. Snorkel’s large scissor lifts are suitable for all kinds of jobs with a working height between 6 and 21 meters.

The large scissor lifts are also available with bi-energy and lithium technology, such as the S2770BE and SL26- and 30RTE. These could be the choice for you if you are looking for a more cost efficient and quiet option for your worksite. The SL26RTE in particular is known for its excellent stability even on the most uneven surfaces due to its automatic self levelling. Its roll-out deck extension helps reach all kinds of difficult spots.

If possible, get an environmentally friendly aerial work platform and support sustainable development in the industry.

For Electric Needs

Electric scissor lifts are a traditional concept with a future’s innovative twist. These lifts are cost efficient and risk free to own with Snorkel’s excellent terms of warranty. Snorkel’s electric scissor lifts are built from durable steel and quality components, and simple to use. The diverse selection of lifts includes heights between 3-12 meters. All platforms are quiet, zero emission and most importantly, safe and easy to operate.

After 10 years of living abroad, the decision to move home came naturally. Being closer to family and the beautiful nature had been in Elli’s mind for a while already. Finding a job in her own field made the decision to move to Espoo easy. “In this world state, finding a job felt impossible. I’m grateful that Simeri gave me the opportunity to show them what I can do”, Elli comments. “I enjoy my job very much! Every day is different and there is never a boring moment”, she continues.

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?
If there was no coronavirus, I would go to the Arab Emirates to see my best friend and enjoy the sunshine.

What is your most important tool at work?
I would say my phone. I take a crazy number of photos for marketing purposes and I often update Simeri’s social media platforms on my phone. I also write down ideas I come up with in the middle of the night so I remember them in the morning.

On cold Winter days I love a good blended vegetable soup. It’s so easy to make and super delicious. Here’s a tip: Add some ginger and coconut cream and thank me later!

Vatupassi Invests in Proficient Customer Service and Employee Wellbeing

Articles

Founded in Joensuu in the 1990s, Vatupassi Törmälä Oy is a machine rental company already operating in 5 areas in Finland. It is also one of Simeri’s long-term clients. Vatupassi is a well-known and trusted family company that invests in every employee’s wellbeing and proficient customer service.

Employees First

Vatupassi believes that only employees who feel well, can provide the best customer service in the industry. In fact, the company takes care of its staff like they are family. “We don’t believe in hierarchies. Instead, our employees are a part of the family”, says Vatupassi’s website. In addition to comprehensive occupational health care and professional insurance, Vatupassi also offers sales, fitness and non-smoking bonuses, and makes sure employees enjoy being at work. Visiting the store is a pleasant experience and the staff always have time for their customers.

The Best Machine Rental Company in Europe

Vatupassi was granted an award for the best small machine rental company in Europe from a pool of 80 other candidates, at the European Rental Awards- gala. The decision was made on the grounds of continuous, systematic investment in flexible customer service, staff welfare, overall responsibility and successful growth in turnover.

Controlled growth requires successful partnerships and an open mindset. “A strong customer-oriented approach, motivated employees, reliable partners and a pinch of luck- That is what our growth story consist of”, states Jarkko Tarnanen, the Operative Director of Vatupassi.

Vatupassi and Simeri

Vatupassi has acquired over a hundred used and brand-new aerial work platforms from Simeri over the years. “We focus our investments so that there is a maximum of two different machine manufacturers under one category”, Jarkko Tarnanen says.

Simeri’s aerial work platform maintenance services are also essential for Vatupassi. “We as a machine rental company are responsible for the operability of our customers’ machinery. In other words, due to Simeri’s reliability we can shift some of the responsibility on them to make sure the equipment works”, Jarkko smiles. “Our companies have grown side by side with a humble and flexible attitude and great respect for one another”, he continues.

The newest addition to Vatupassi’s aerial work platform portfolio is the Genie SX 135XC cherry picker. With a 6-meter jib-boom and 454 kg moveable load, there will surely be a lot of use for this platform! Acquiring the new Genie SX 135XC was in Jukka’s mind from last fall of 2020 and with the growing demand the decision to get it was made. “With this aerial work platform we can meet the demand, especially in the Oulu area, but these rubber tyres can go all over Finland if needed”, Jarkko mentions.

Covid-19 Does Not Slow Down

Although the Coronavirus is affecting the whole world, Vatupassi is yet to see its effects on anything other than the development of its processes to operate responsibly in such an unprecedented situation. “We are not in fear of declining business and have not pressed the panic button” says Jarkko with a twinkle in his eye.

A Used Aerial Work Platform- What to Take into Consideration?

Articles

A used aerial work platform is a great option, if you need to update your machinery, but not empty your bank account. A second hand platform can serve for many years with excellent performance. The owner just has to take care of it as if it were a new one and get it serviced regularly. We put together a few points to consider when buying a used aerial work platform.

Things to Consider when Choosing a Second Hand Aerial Work Platform:

Its age. When buying a used platform its age is an important factor. There are platforms of a variety of ages for sale and the range can be extensive. You can still find machinery for sale all the way from the 90’s. The age should especially be considered, because manufacturers may have discontinued production on some spare parts for these older platforms. This makes its maintenance especially difficult. Therefore, before investing in a used platform, make sure its spare parts and capable maintenance personnel are still available.

It is also important to know the history of the platform. For example, whether the machine has been used for challenging projects in the past and how well the past owner has taken care of it. You can find useful information on the platform’s maintenance and servicing in its inspection log sheet.

Whether the case is a new or a used aerial work platform, it is important to think what the machine will be used for. Once the buyer is clear on the purpose of the platform it is easier to determine the most suitable model. Different models have been designed for different purposes, so consult with a salesperson about the best option for your specific needs.

When buing a second hand platform it is also essential to make sure the machine comes with all the necessary paperwork to prove that it has been serviced and meets the current safety requirements. If possible, the buyer should also check whether the previous maintenance person has been qualified. By doing this, unpredictable issues can be prevented in the future. It is also important to check if the platform is equipped with all certificants required by law, such as the CE Certificate required in Europe.

Investing in a used aerial work platform is an excellent option. It does not put a strain on the company budget as much as a new one would, and all the same labour can still be compeleted. With the help of maintenance professionals the owner can extend the product’s life and get much more out of it in the long-run.

Platform Sales Personnel to Help with Decisionmaking

During the buying process all the factors mentioned above are important to take into consideration. In addition, the sales professionals are here to help! They have in-depth knowledge about the different models of platforms and each of them is used for. Their assistance should be used as much as possible to find the best possible option for the case.

At Simeri, we have a very qualified maintenance staff, who can fix your aerial work platforms back into shape quickly. Our professional salesmen are always striving to assist client to the best of their ability, and find the safest, most efficient platform model for clients’ various needs.
